God

He created it, sustains it, and far from being aloof or absent from His creation, God continues to work in it. He is in ultimate control - He is active, bringing about the things that He wants to happen. He is present everywhere. He is all knowing, persisting through time - past, present and future and He never changes. He can never be more wiser or more holier than He has ever been or ever will be. He knows the end and the beginning. He hears our prayers, understands our needs and even perceives our thoughts and desires. There is nowhere we can go that will separate us from the love of God.

Throughout history God has been communicating to humankind and revealing Himself in powerful ways through events, people and the Bible. The wonder, complexity and composition of the Universe demonstrates the power and majesty of God. Even in the very way we are made up; our composition, emotions, creativity and conscience reveals His glory and character - He made us in His image (Genesis). Without God, life does not make sense because we are out of touch with Him. He brings the designs of powerful nations to nothing, He is in control of nature, He will judge all persons, He will subdue the forces of evil. God continues to speak to us through the Spirit, through our friendships, creativity and our appreciation of all things beautiful.
